Hikarimono
Hikarimono (hee-KAH-ree-moh-noh) includes all metallic, single-colored koi. This group overlaps in appearance with Hikarimuji but is often used interchangeably depending on regional naming conventions.
These koi are known for their brilliant shine and metallic skin, which gives them a luminous quality in pond water. Common types include Yamabuki Ogon (metallic yellow), Platinum Ogon (pure metallic white), and Orenji Ogon (deep orange metallic).

What to Look For
Focus on the luster—a satin-like glow across the entire body. The color should be rich, deep, and evenly distributed without blemishes or fading. Clean fins and a strong, symmetrical body are also important for show-quality Hikarimono.
